Orthodontist
Dr. Wendy J. Katz, DDS, originally from Buffalo, New York, is now with Hickory Flat Dental where she provides exceptional orthodontic services and advice to her growing community of patients.
She shares that educating her patients about oral care is paramount to her efforts and success in helping them have good looking and healthy teeth.
“I believe in educating the public not only in what is needed to correct a bite problem, but why it’s needed and the consequences that will occur. I try to be direct and honest in my approach so patients receive care that is needed for them at the proper time in their growth,” she says.
She also feels strongly that her continuing education in orthodontics’ technical advances improves her ability to provide the best professional services to her patients.
“I devote numerous hours of study to keep abreast of new techniques pertaining to my dental field. My staff and I are committed to provide exceptional care to our patients, in a relaxed, fun environment. I enjoy practicing orthodontics. It is rewarding to transform and improve the smile. Building self-confidence in our patients is a gift that lasts a lifetime. I’m still excited to come to work after 30 years in practice.”
Dr. Katz attended college (1973-1976) and dental school (1976-1980) at Emory University (Atlanta, GA), with her post graduate studies at Boston University (1981-1983), earning a certificate in orthodontics.
She donates her professional services through Cobb County to provide care for children, as well as participating in programs through her synagogue with food drives and homeless programs.
Dr. Wendy J. Katz is married with 2 children – both enrolled in Georgia colleges. When she’s not at work or volunteering her time she enjoys golf, running, cooking, biking, hiking, eating and travel.
