Make an appointment for your child at the Imagix Norcross location at Peachtree Parkway, or one of our other locations, and chances are that your child will be seen by Pediatric Specialist Dr. Patrick Smithwick, III, better known as Dr. Paddy.

Dr. Paddy has been practicing dentistry for four years and has been a pediatric dentist at Imagix Dental going on two years. After graduating from University of Maryland Dental School, Dr. Paddy attended NYU School of Dentistry where he specialized in Pediatric Dentistry. It was at NYU that Dr. Paddy met fellow Imagix dentists Dr. Wes Flemings and Dr. Andy Shehata.

At the urging of his new found friends Dr. Paddy left behind his favorite sport of skiing to head south to Georgia to join them at Imagix Dental.

“Hanging out with kids all day keeps me young,” says Dr. Paddy as to why he chose his specialty. His big smile and blue eyes match his passion for his young patients and he is always sensitive to children’s fear of dentists and dental procedures. “We never use the s-h-o-t word,” says Paddy, “rather the tooth goes to sleep.” . Mr Whistle and Mr Sharpie are two creative names for the perhaps intimidating dental tools that allow every child to relax in his chair.

Dr. Paddy loves the honesty of his patients. “I never knew that leathers shoes were not cool,” says Paddy, “now I wear colored Puma tennis shoes to work and my patients highly approve!” Dr. Paddy now owns 10 different colors of Pumas so that he can keep up his cool dentist reputation.
